As a contemporary of Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson, Alexander Girard was a key figure in post-War American design. Best known for his work as textile designer, these dolls, originally created as a personal project for his Santa Fe home show the influence of the popular art of South America, Asia and East Europe. Each hand painted doll is made from solid pinewood is presented in a high quality printed wooden box.
